Huaxia (Chinese: 華夏, pinyin: Huáxià) is a proper name originating in Chinese; it can refer to:

  • In the narrow, historical sense: groupS of ancient people living along the Yellow River who later became the core group of Han Chinese ethnic in China.
  • "Huaxia" later came to be sometimes used as a generic term for the Chinese nation itself, as well as Chinese culture (including that shared by the overseas Chinese).
