Sophie Scholl climbed stairs to the top of the atrium at her Munich school and dropped leaflets calling for passive resistance against the Nazi regime.

Sophie Scholl (9 May 1921 - 22 February 1943) was a member of the White Rose resistance movement in Nazi Germany. She was convicted of treason and executed by guillotine.
