Arthur M. Schlesinger Jr.

Arthur M. Schlesinger, Jr. (b. 1917 in Columbus, Ohio) is a historian and author. His major work has been as a historian of Roosevelt's New Deal, and as the in-house historian of the Kennedy administration. He has written recently about the erosion of common civic engagement occassioned by multiculturalism.

His father is Arthur Schlesinger (1888-1965), also a famous historian.
