Preston Tucker (1903-1956), American automobile designer/manufacturer

Preston Tucker was born on September 21, 1903 in Capac, Michigan. He was the designer (with others) of the Tucker automobile.

Produced by George Lucas and directed by Francis Ford Coppola, a motion picture was made about him in 1988 titled: "Tucker: The Man and His Dream," recounting his attempt to put the Tucker automobile into mass production starring Jeff Bridges.

Preston Tucker died on December 26, 1956.
