Aslan is the allegorical Christ figure in The Chronicles of Narnia by C. S. Lewis; the lion in The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe. Throughout the series it is often repeated that he is "not a tame lion," although at many times he is very gentle, loving and lovable.
