- Wesleyan could be also short for any of about twenty-two universities and liberal arts colleges named after John Wesley, including Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT and Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, OH.
- The term Wesleyan is sometimes used as a reference to the theological emphasis on sanctification that is characteristic of the holiness movement.
