Dubai Fencing Club was formed in 2002 by Bulgarian former Modern Pentathelete Mihail Kouzev, who is still the club's head coach.

The club's emphasis is on epee fencing for both men and women, as well as juniors. It meets in the Quay Health Club in the prestigious Mina Al Salaam Hotel in Dubai.

DFC is charaterised by its informal and cosmopolitan atmosphere with expatriates from around the world fencing along with Emirati nationals.
