Coimbatore Medical College was established in 1966. Lcated in the city of coimbatore, tamil nadu, India, is one of the well known medical colleges in the area.The Government Head Quarters Hospital near the Coimbatore Railway Junction is attached to the college and is converted into a teaching Medical Instituion. The college was intially affiliated to Madras University and later was transferred to Bharathiyar University. Subsequently it was affiliated to Tamilnadu Dr M G R Medical University. The college has more than 30 departments with individual libraries and full fledged medical laboratories. The college offers Preclinical courses and Elective Postings.
