Catarrhal Noise is a hard rock/heavy metal band from Veneto, Italy.
They sing in Venetian dialect, that is very hard to understand for foreigners, and even for an Italian living in the southern regions of the peninsula. Moreover, their lyrics are off-the-wall, with a heavy use of colloquial terms.
The band was founded in September 1994, when Albyzzo and Ruzo, after a deep search inside an English dictionary, chose the name. In more than 10 years the band released out 2 demos and 4 LPs: Basame el cueo (Kiss My Ass, 2001), Turboamerica (2002), Te spùo so 'na recia (I spit in your ear, 2004) and A porchetata (2006).
Their live energy is explosive. They have successfully given 300 concerts, alternating powerful metal songs with comic segments. On July 3 2004 they even opened a concert for legendary thrash metal band Anthrax[1].
Current memebrs
Guest star on their LPs is Herman Medrano, a Venetian rapper.
