I live in Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA.

Pet peeves:

  • Using the verb "to seem" in articles: (e.g. "it seems that...", "but that doesn't seem to be true..."). "Seeming" is a reflection on the perspective of the author, not on the reality of the world...
  • Leaving "please insert more here...", or "would somebody who knows something about this help out?" in either the article or the summary field. We're at Wikipedia, you don't need to ask for help! If somebody is able and willing to help, they will whether or not you ask them to. Often our articles would be better than, say, the Columbia Encyclopaedia article, if it weren't for the Please help me out here!!! placed in the middle.
