Geography

Karimpur is located at 23°58′N 88°37′E / 23.97°N 88.62°E / 23.97; 88.62[1]. It has an average elevation of 15 metres (49 feet).

Demographics

As of 2001 India censusTemplate:GR, Karimpur had a population of 9070. Males constitute 51% of the population and females 49%. Karimpur has an average literacy rate of 75%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 79%, and female literacy is 71%. In Karimpur, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.
