Austin Powers, played by Mike Myers, is the title character of a series of films. The films are a loose parody of many British spy films of the 1960s, including Casino Royale, the Harry Palmer films of Michael Caine, James Coburn's Drek Flintfilms, James Bond films, and an increasingly broad range of other elements of popular culture. With the added features of bodily functions and toilet humor, the films reflect a bawdy sense of humor, indeed.

The films parody the cliche' of a male super-spy who is irresistibly attractive to women, and makes no attempt to resist them.

The first film, Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, was commercially successful, leading to the sequel Austin Powers 2: The Spy Who Shagged Me. A third, Austin Powers in Goldmember, was released in 2002.
