Yate railway station serves the town of Yate in South Gloucestershire. It is located on the main Bristol to Birmingham line inbetween Bristol Parkway and Cam & Dursley, and is operated by First Great Western. The station is unstaffed and has two platforms, with First Great Western operatering all services which call at Yate.

Current Services

Yate station is served on a Monday to Friday by:
> a train every hour in both directions with other peak journeys.

First Great Western's 'local' services operate all services at this station.

Greater Western Franchise New Timetable from December 2006

From December 2006, First Great Western's new timetable will come into effect. Not much change will be introduced at Yate station, as the hourly service is retained. However:
> All Weston-Super-Mare to Great Malvern local journeys will now extend to/from Taunton with some to Exeter, giving an hourly sevice at Highbridge & Burnham and Bridgwater and a through service from Yate to Taunton.
