Ian Fraser is a journalist specialising in business and economics, born in Edinburgh on 3 March 1961. He was financial editor of the the Glasgow-based Sunday Herald from the paper's launch in 1999 until March 2006[1]. He is now working as a freelance journalist contributing to publications including The Herald, Sunday Herald, The Scotsman, the Financial Times, The Economist, Daily Mail and The Sunday Times. He also writes for corporate magazines and provides communications advice. During the 1990s he held senior editorial roles with EuroBusiness and Director magazines and also edited internal publications for Unilever plc. In the 1980s he worked for advertising agencies including Hall Advertising in Edinburgh and Lintas in London and Paris. Fraser was educated at the Edinburgh Academy and University of St Andrews.
