Constant Shallowness Leads To Evil was a CD by Coil released on the same day as Queens Of The Circulating Library. Like Queens Of The Circulating Library, this album comes with no artwork and is packaged in a pink c-shell case.

According to the credits, "Coil were Thighpaulsandra, John Balance, & Peter Christopherson. Thanks to Simon Norris."

Track names provided: "Higher Beings Command", "I Am The Green Child", "Beige", "Lowest Common Abominator", "Free Base Chakra", and "Tunnel Of Goats". The tracklisting is rather mysterious as it only lists six tracks while 23 tracks are actually pressed on the CD. Also the tracks given are not numbered so there is speculation to the proper tracklisting. While the proposition has been put forth that the first eight tracks are as listed and the final tracks extends throughout the rest of the album, there is a distict problem with this assumption. The problem is that tracks that are continuations of each other are separated before track eight. While tracks 1 and 2 seems distinctly different, tracks 3, 4 and 5 are continuations of each other, fading out at the end of track 5. Naturally, it can be assumed that all of these tracks are all 'Beige'. Tracks 6 through 21 are continuations as well, which leads to the assumtion that they are all 'Lowest Common Abominator'. Track 22 is silent, except for the beginning which is an extension from track 21. It can be assumed that, this song is 'Free Base Chakra'. 'Tunnel Of Goats', features John Balance laughing with echo effects applied to his voice.

The tracks "Lowest Common Abominator" are the lyrics from "What Kind Of Animal Are You?" and can be heard in the right channel.

The following warning appears after the tracklisting: "May Cause Drowsiness - Do Not Play While Driving Or Operating Machinery".

The catalogue number is ESKATON 24. Coil Presents Time Machines has the similar catalogue number of ESKATON CD24.
