Carl XV of Sweden, (May 3, 1826 - October 18, 1872), son of King Oscar I of Sweden and his Queen Josephine, became king of Sweden, and, as Carl IV, King of Norway, in 1859.

He married Her Highness Princess Lovisa of Orange-Nassau on 19 June 1851.

He was succeeded to the throne by his brother, King Oscar II.

Children: 1. Princess Lovisa, 1851 - 1926, who married King Frederick VIII of Denmark.

their son, Prince Carl of Denmark, was elected king of Norway as Haakon VII in 1905.
