Emley is a small village in West Yorkshire between Huddersfield and Wakefield with a population of 1,867 according to the 2001 census.

It is 7km (4.5m) east of Huddersfield and 8km (5m) west of Wakefield.

The village lies in moorland close to the Emley Moor TV Transmitter and is also the previous home for the Wakefield and Emley non-league football club. Emley Moor colliery closed in 1985 after a year-long strike.

The village has three pubs: The White Horse, The Green Dragon, and Emley Football Club.
