Paul London and Brian Kendrick are a cruiserweight professional wrestling tag team on the SmackDown! brand of World Wrestling Entertainment and are the current WWE Tag Team Champions.
History
Prior to teaming together on Smackdown!, both London and Kendrick were students at Rudy Boy Gonzales and Shawn Michaels' Texas Wrestling Academy.
The pair first began teaming with each other in 2003 back when Kendrick was known by the ring name Spanky. The team would become a mainstay on SmackDown!'s sister show, WWE Velocity, until Spanky left the company.
During the fall of 2005 the pair reformed a team when Kendrick returned to the company under his own name. the team would go on to remake their image; wearing masks like those used in theatre plays to the ring and matching shiny purple, blue, then red, vests and shorts. The new image brought new life to the team who would go on to produce an impressive showing against the then-tag team champions, MNM.
On April 7, 2006 edition of SmackDown! London and Kendrick once again faced MNM, this time picking up a win in a non-title match against the reigning WWE Tag Team champions. London and Kendrick continued their winning streak on the champions, including singles victories for both Kendrick and London on Johnny Nitro and Joey Mercury respectively. The pair defeated MNM at Judgment Day 2006 to win the WWE Tag Team Championship together for the first time.
In the next months Kendrick and London would go on to successfully defend the Championships against the Mexicools (Psicosis & Super Crazy) and The Pit Bulls (Jamie Noble and Kid Kash).
