Little Cayman is the smallest of the Cayman Islands and has nothing that would resemble a town. The airport, with its unpaved runway, serves as the center of focus for the island. The police, fire department, post office and a small grocery store are all nearby.

The island is quite undeveloped, depending on tourism for jobs and income. The majority of Little Cayman residents work at one of the various island resorts and most are not actually Caymanian.

Little Cayman is well known for the quality of its scuba diving. Bloody Bay Wall, and Jackson Bay are two of the more popular destinations on the North side of the island.
