Greater consistency with Wikipedia naming conventions; consistency with article on UN General Assembly Resolution -- Ian 22:31, 27 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Support, however This is mostly a list of Security Council Resolutions, I would suggest the move as presented, trimming the list to notable resolutions (if it is felt appropriate), and creating a new article at List of UN Security Council Resolutions (currently a redirect) with a full list. --Neo 14:35, 28 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Hey to those interested in this page, there is at least one resolution which should definitely be included but isn't. It's that famous resolution where during the cold war the Russians were angry with the functioning of the council and absented themselves from proceedings as a gesture of protest. While absent the US seized the opportunity to pass a resolution authorizing force in some conflict, I think Vietnam, and ever since the Russians have never absented themselves.

actually i think it was the korean war -- iosef

Resoultions list

On the main page the resolutions are listed from lowest number to highest number, however on the seperate pages detailing all the resolutions [1], they are listed in reverse order (100, 99, 98.. 1), surely these lists should be changed, as the page is called 1 to 100 not 100 to 1? Rob.derosa 13:41, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree - I can't imagine why they were created in descending order as it's completely counter-intuitive, and now I'm not sure how to approach fixing them. I left a note on User_talk:Kingturtle since he created them. --Ruyn 23:41, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think it'd be best to list them chronologically, so rather than changing the name of the pages, the contents have to be changed. There is no sense in listing them in reverse order! Cheers for putting the note up Rob.derosa 05:17, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Unfortunately I do not yet know how to reverse the chronological order. I will stop filling the blanks while thinking.--Jusjih 08:03, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I just thought of a fast way to reverse the chronological order. I will start from the earliest resolutions. For the latest ones, I can think of no reasons to have too many blanks for resolutions not yet adopted.--Jusjih 11:41, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Resolutions have no titles

UN Dag Hammarskjold Library says: "Security Council resolutions can only be identified, apart from the document symbols assigned to them, by the subjects to which they relate since they do not carry individual titles." Therefore, complications of the resolutions at the UN website may be copyrightable.--Jusjih 07:58, 29 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
