"Jump"
Song

"Jump" will be the fourth single from Madonna's latest album, Confessions on a Dance Floor. [1] [2] The song was written by Madonna, Joe Henry and Stuart Price. The expected U.S. release date is October 24, 2006 [3] with a UK release set for November 6, 2006 [4]. "Jump" is expected to gather much more U.S. airplay than her other singles from Confessions on a Dancefloor due to its release on Adult Contemporary radios.

The song was featured in the motion picture adaptation of The Devil Wears Prada. It was widely expected that "Jump" would be on the film's soundtrack but the song was not included. Another song "Vogue" by Madonna that also appeared in the movie was included on the soundtrack.

Junior Sanchez confirmed on his Myspace that his mix is to be included on the "Jump" single. [5]

The single will also contain a previously unreleased album track, "History", written by Madonna, and Stuart Price.

"Jump" has debuted on the Billboard Hot Adult Contemporary chart at number 28. It is steadily climbing the hot dance club play chart with it's initial debut at 42.

Music video

The music video was shot in Japan by director Jonas Åkerlund. Madonna wears a special blonde wig in the video, which was captured on a sound stage. The video also features Parkour with Madonna's dancers running and jumping through the streets of Tokyo. Many of the various signs and billboards on the storefronts and buildings have been altered to read, "Madonna", and "Jump", in Japanese. Madonna shot the video while on the Asia leg of her Confessions Tour. [6] The video premiered on AOL, then VH1 in the US, and on Channel 4 in the UK, all on October 4, 2006.
