With Andy Ritchie now in charge of the Barnsley team, Reid was made captain at the beginning of the 2005-2006 season (only his second season at the club) which saw him go on to be one of the most successful captain's in Barnsley's recent history with them winning the League One Play Off Final at the Millenium Stadium - May 27th, 2006. Paul has currently made 84 appearances scoring 6 goals for Barnsley.
