Trivia
- There was a moment when Koyasu Takehito & Hikaru were working simultaneously in three anime together as "rivals": The Slayers (Rezo & Zelgadis), Fushigi Yuugi (Hotohori & Tamahome) and Gundam Wing (Zechs & Heero), and they also played "rivals" as well as in the Super Robot Wars game series (Masaki Andoh & Shuu Shirakawa). Ironically enough, the two of them collaborated once again as friends-turned-rivals when they voiced Shin Kazama (Koyasu) and Satoru Kanzaki (Midorikawa) in the 2004 remake of Area 88.
- Koyasu considers Midorikawa's voice "cute", and invited him to participate in Weiss Kreuz as one of the opposites of Weiss (the Schwarz group); here, Midorikawa plays Schuldig.
- There was also a time when Takeshi Kusao & Hikaru were working simultaneosuly in two anime together as "rivals": Dragon Ball Z (Trunks & Android No#16) and Slam Dunk (Sakuragi & Rukawa). They also works simultaneously in Samurai Warriors, although not as rivals, Sanada Yukimura (Takeshi) and Akechi Mitsuhide (Hikaru).
- Two of Hikaru's roles in video games are noted to be traitors of some of the characters : Leon Magnus (Tales of Destiny) and Akechi Mitsuhide (Samurai Warriors)
- He is one of the voice actors of Samurai Warriors that returns in Kessen III and plays the same role as Akechi Mitsuhide. The other one is Hiroshi Kamiya as Azai Nagamasa.
- He had once voiced a character alongside voice actors of the main characters from other Gundam timelines (in the drama CD version of Ouran High School Host Club, where he voices Suoh Tamaki, alongside Hoshi Soichiro (Kira Yamato in Gundam Seed and Hitachiin Hikaru here) and Suzumura Kenichi (who later voiced Shinn Asuka in Gundam Seed Destiny and Hitachiin Kaoru here).
