Rioru (リオル) is one of the Template:Pokenum fictional species of Pokémon creatures from the multi-billion-dollar[1] Pokémon media franchise – a collection of video games, anime, manga, books, trading cards and other media, created by Satoshi Tajiri. Rioru is famous for being one of the Pokémon revealed before the Japanese release of Pokémon Diamond and Pearl. The purpose of Kabarudon in the games, anime and manga, as with all other Pokémon, is to battle both wild Pokémon, untamed creatures encountered while the player passes through various environments, and tamed Pokémon owned by Pokémon trainers.[2]

Appearance

Rioru is basically a smaller version of its evolved form, Lucario. Rioru's spikes haven't grown in yet and its body hasn't developed the same metallic properties that Lucario has. Rioru's "mask" resembles that of a raccoon. Rioru has the same coloring as Lucario, except that Rioru's torso is black as opposed to yellow and its forepaws are only blue instead of black and blue.

In the Video Games

Rioru is only obtainable after an in game event.

After you get to the town with the sixth gym, there is a boat in the town that goes to a supposed abandoned mine. After a few floors, you come across Aaron, who asks you to guide him to the end. After beating a few rouge Team Galaxy members, he places upon you an egg which hatches into Rioru.

Rioru is not found in the wild and must be bred.
