Greg Robinson (American football coach)

Greg Robinson(b. in Los Angeles, California) is the current head coach of the Syracuse University football team. Robinson was awarded the job in January 2005 after the firing of coach Paul Pasqualoni, who had been head coach since 1991. Robinson had been the co-defensive coordinator at Texas during the 2004 season. Prior to that he was defensive coordinator for the Kansas City Chiefs under Dick Vermeil. In all Robinson had spent 14 years working in the NFL with teams that included the Denver Broncos and the New York Jets.
Robinsons' tenure as the defensive coordinator with the Denver Broncos occurred during their 2 SuperBowl (XXXII & XXXIII) victories in 1997 & 1998. The 1998 Broncos defense played superb during the playoff run, this was overlooked as it was John Elway's last season. The 3 playoff games included a game without giving up a TD (Dolphins game) a game with the only TD after a fumble on the 1 yard line (Jets in AFC Championship) and a TD against the Falcons in the 4th quarter of the Superbowl after the outcome was secure.
During his coaching career, Robinson was an assistant coach at California State University, Cal State Fullerton, UCLA and his alma mater, the University of the Pacific.
