Trivia

  • The albums Too much is enough (1998) and Verbal Jujitsu (2002) are by another band, a Swedish band apparently also called The Kooks.
  • They recorded a cover from Gnarls Barkley hit "Crazy" in a small street in Paris, and also on the Radio 1 Live Lounge.
  • The lead singer (Luke Pritchard) is self confessed to be "tone deaf" which he announced to fans on "Friday Night with Jonathan Ross" on June 9th 2006. Whether it was a joke or not is still unconfirmed, though evidence suggests that it was not.
  • The band refused to be interviewed on Channel 4's Popworld after, in the course of their first interview on the show, Simon Amstell made repeated reference's to Luke's ex-girlfriend, Katie Melua.
