Money Inc. was a heel professional wrestling tag team which consisted of the "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase & I.R.S. (Irwin R. Schyster) in the World Wrestling Federation from (now [[World Wrestling Entertainment) February 1992 to August 1993.

History

1992

Ted DiBiase and IRS (along with their manager, Jimmy Hart) began teaming in February 1992. Their first major feud would be with The Natural Disasters, Earthquake and Typhoon. The Disasters had also been managed by Jimmy Hart, but Hart double-crossed them by getting Money Inc. the WWF Tag Team Championship shot that the Disasters felt they deserved (the Disasters had defeated the champions, the Legion of Doom, by count-out at the 1992 Royal Rumble and felt they deserved a rematch). This resulted in the Natural Disasters turning face and dropping Hart as their manager.

Money Inc. would go on to win the WWF Tag Team Championship from the LOD at a house show on February 7. On the February 29 episode of WWF Superstars of Wrestling, it was announced that the Natural Disasters would get a shot at the titles at WrestleMania VIII. The Disasters would go on to win the match via count-out. Since titles can only change hands via pinfall or submission, Money Inc. retained their gold. This result would repeat itself on the August 3 edition of WWF Prime Time Wrestling. On the September 14 edition, the Disasters finally defeated Money Inc. for the titles when Earthquake pinned DiBiase with an elbow drop after IRS accidentally hit his partner with his steel briefcase.

After losing their titles, Money Inc. feuded with the team they had taken the titles from, the Legion of Doom. At SummerSlam 1992, the LOD defeated Money Inc.

On the November 1 episode of WWF Wrestling Challenge, Money Inc. recieved a WWF Tag Team Championship rematch against the Natural Disasters. Prior to the match, The Nasty Boys (who had turned face the same way the Disasters previously turned) had attacked Money Inc. DiBiase and IRS defeated Earthquake and Typhoon and won back the titles, thanks to interference by The Headshrinkers. After the bout, the Nasty Boys grabbed Jimmy Hart at the commentary table and tossed him onto DiBiase and IRS, knocking both men down onto the arena floor.

Money Inc's feuding with the Natual Disasters and the Nasty Boys, as well as the Disasters feuding with the Beverly Brothers, lead to an 8-man elimination tag team match at the 1992 Survivor Series, which saw the Natural Disasters and the Nasty Boys defeat Money Inc. and the Beverly Brothers. Following the Survivor Series, Money Inc. continued to feud with the Nasty Boys. The Nasty Boys would get a title shot on WWF Wrestling Challenge, but they came up short.

1993

The Nasty Boys continued to get title shots against Money Inc. on television and at house shows, but they failed to get the gold.

On the February 15 edition of Monday Night RAW, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake (in what was his first match since the injury to his face over three years prior) defeated Ted DiBiase (along with Jimmy Hart) via disqualification when IRS hit Beefcake in the back with the steel briefcase. Following the match, DiBiase held Beefcake for IRS to hit him in the face with the briefcase, but Hart repeatedly got in the way before he was eventually shoved out of the ring by IRS. IRS then hit Beefcake in the face with the briefcase. Money Inc. was eventually sent to the back as Jimmy Hart called for medical assistance. Shortly thereafter, Hulk Hogan made his return to WWF television, and he teamed with Beefcake and Hart to form The Mega-Maniacs. Hogan and Beefcake challenged Money Inc. for the WWF Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania IX, but the Mega-Maniacs were disqualified after Hogan used Beefcake's steel face protector as a weapon.

Money Inc. would feud with The Steiner Brothers in the spring of 1993. On May 16, at a house show, the Steiners defeated Money Inc. for the WWF Tag Team Championship. However, this title change would be ignored on television. At the 1993 King of the Ring, The Steiner Brothers and The Smokin' Gunns defeated Money Inc. and The Headshrinkers in an 8-man tag team match. Soon after, the Steiners defeated Money Inc. for the titles on a June 1993 episode of Wrestling Challenge. At a June 16 house show, Money Inc. would win the titles back, only for the Steiners to take the gold again three days later. The Steiners then retained the titles in several more rematches.

After failing to get back the tag titles, Money Inc. went into a feud with Razor Ramon. DiBiase had been making fun of Ramon over his upset loss to the 1-2-3 Kid, and the Million Dollar Man even offered Ramon a job as his custodian. Ramon rebelled against DiBiase, turning face. At SummerSlam 1993, Razor Ramon defeated Ted DiBiase in what would be DiBiase's last appearance of the year, and his last match ever. Later in the event, IRS defeated the 1-2-3 Kid. DiBiase went on a leave of absence for several months, and IRS went back to being a singles wrestler, feuding with Ramon himself.

Post-Retirement

Money Inc. made a surprise one-night return on the October 9, 2006 RAW Family Reunion. Ric Flair had a match with Mitch of the Spirit Squad. As always, all members of the Spirit Squad were present. To even the odds, Flair brought out Rowdy Roddy Piper, Money Inc., and Arn Anderson as his backup. Flair's legendary allies kept the Squad at bay as Flair won the match.

Today, both Ted DiBiase and Mike Rotunda (IRS) work behind the scenes for WWE.
