Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All is a point-and-click adventure video game developed and published by Capcom for the Nintendo DS video game console. It is the sequel to 2005's Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. According to Capcom, it is set to be released in Japan on October 26, 2006 and in North America and Europe on Q1 2007. The Japanese release will be region free, and will feature a Japanese/English language toggle at the main menu, with the translation being the same as the upcoming North American release.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice for All is an updated port of the Game Boy Advance game Gyakuten Saiban 2. It will feature optional touch screen usage like Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney did, and will have no new episodes.[1]

Gameplay

Justice for All features a new gameplay concept called Psyche-Lock, which was not found in the original. Phoenix Wright has to unlock several locks in a witness' mind in order to reveal the truth. Also not found in the original is a health meter as opposed to a miss counter which is depleted according to the risk taken. For example, if the player makes an errorous claim while the health meter is visible, Phoenix will lose a small amount of health, while accusing someone of being the killer without evidence could empty the meter completely, resulting in the Judge declaring the defendant guilty. While the original's miss counter automatically refilled at certain intervals, Justice for All's health meter does not refill by itself. It can only be refilled by correctly unlocking Psyche-Locks.

Plot

Characters

New characters include Franziska von Karma, the new and upcoming prosecutor and daughter of Phoenix's foe from the first game Manfred von Karma, and Pearl Fey, Maya Fey's younger cousin with strong psychic ties.

Release date

Capcom has given a release date of Q1 2007 for Justice for All, but the Japanese version of the game (titled Gyakuten Saiban 2 [2]) is set to be released on October 26 2006 and includes the full English localization.

The North American release is scheduled for sometime in January 2007.
