Magical Elements is Dry Jack's debut album, released in July, 1979 by Inner City Records. It was recorded in October 1978 at RPM Studios in New York City. Magical Elements was reissued on CD in 2008.

Dry Jack was founded by keyboardist/composer Chuck Lamb (Brubeck Brothers Quartet) and his brother, bassist Rich Lamb, both longtime Colorado residents. Dry Jack also featured guitarist Rod Fleeman (Kansas City), and drummer Jon Margolis (New York). [2]

Dry Jack is a legendary jazz fusion band who recorded two successful albums, Magical Elements and Whale City. The group was cited in Rolling Stone's History of Music as “one of the premier, cutting edge bands of the electric jazz movement.” [3]
