  1. Chromosomal crossover in genetics is an exchange of material between two chromosomes.
  2. Fictional crossovers in comic books (or other mediums) are events when a story takes place in more than one series, either by being continued among the different series, or by different elements of the same story being presented in each series from different points of view, or (more limitedly) by characters of one title simply appearing in another.
  3. Crossover fiction or genre busting in books and movies combines elements of one established genre (such as horror or westerns) with another such genre, creating a hybrid form.
  4. On roads in the United States, a crossover is a place between two roads of opposite traffic flow where cars can cross over into the other direction.

  6. A crossover may also refer to a particular type of electronic filter.
  7. Crossover music is music which has commercial success in a genre other than that it was originally aimed at, or in multiple genres.
  8. A Crossover SUV is an SUV based on a car (rather than truck) platform.
  9. A Crossover move is a move in basketball in which you make the defender go in the wrong direction by dribbling the ball around, across your body, or inbetween your legs.
  10. Crossover (physics) is the variation of the exponent in power-law when varaying two different parameters close to a critical ponit where the power-law becomes singular.
