Perdita Hyde-Sinclair

Perdita "Perdy" Hyde-Sinclair (née Hyde) is a fictional character on the ITV soap opera Emmerdale. She is played by Georgia Slowe.

About Perdita

Perdita first appeared on Emmerdale in early 2006. She is the wife of the rich Grayson Sinclair, who was to be the brother-in-law of Sadie King when she married Alasdair. She first appeared at a dinner party with Jimmy and Matthew King, Sadie, her husband and Alasdair.

She was next seen at Sadie and Alasdair's wedding, where she tried to persuade Alasdair that marrying Sadie had been a mistake. She was also present when her mother-in-law Rosemary Sinclair tricked Sadie into having her marriage annulled in exchange for a worthless business.

Since then, she has shown up in the village a few times, flirting with Hari Prasard. She later revealed to him that Grayson cheated on her with another woman.

At a shooting party at Home Farm, Perdy secretly suffered a miscarriage. Chastity Dingle guessed that it wasn't the first she had been through and later, Perdy revealed to her husband that she had indeed suffered five miscarriages before. When Rosemary found out, she was more upset that Perdy had failed to deliver any grandchildren to carry on the Sinclair name. As a result, she and Grayson have since moved out of Oakwell Hall and into Mill Cottage right in the village

While Perdy turned down Hari's advances despite her feelings for him, she was led to believe recently, by her mother-in-law, that Grayson was having another affair. Preoccupied by the thought of her husband being unfaithful, she had sex with Matthew King in his office during the Home Farm ball, which was witnessed by Hari.

Will Perdy's secret tryst with Matthew remain a secret for long?
