Aratus (Greek Aratos) was a Greek mathematician, astronomer, meteorologist, botanist and poet, born: circa 315 B.C./310 B.C., Soli, Cilicia, (today Cyprus), died: 240 B.C., Pella, Central Macedonia, Macedonian Kingdom (today Greece).
