H.R.H. Dona Isabel Herédia de Bragança was born in Lisboa, November 22, 1966. Until 1975 she lived in Portugal and Angola.

In 1975, her family moved to São Paulo, Brazil. She studied at the Jesuit Escola de São Luís until 1988. She is a MBA from Universidade Getúlio Vargas, 1990.

In 1990 she came back to Portugal and worked at BMF — Sociedade de Gestão de Patrimónios, S.A. until 1995.

In May, 13 1995 she married Dom Duarte, Duke of Bragança. They have three children: Dom Afonso de Santa Maria, Dona Maria Francisca e Dom Dinis.

Since 1995, Dona Isabel is a patron of several charity institutions: Refúgio Aboim Ascensão, Faro; Ajuda ao Recém Nascido; Trissomia 21; Associação Portuguesa de Miastenia Grave e Doenças Neuro-Musculares; Ajuda de Berço; Os Francisquinhos.

H.R.H. Dona Isabel de Bragança is Grã-Cruz da Ordem de Nossa Senhora da Conceição de Vila Viçosa, Grã-Mestra da Ordem Real de Santa Isabel e Dama Grã-Cruz de Honra e Devoção da Ordem Soberana e Militar de Malta.
