About me

I am a college student at Massachusetts Institute of Technology, USA. My interests include computer science, in which I plan to major, mathematics, video games, and Star Trek. I used to be into DDR, but I've grown tired of it. I have created various and numerous programs, mostly for personal use.

Civ89

I made Civ89, an open-source video game for the TI-89 / TI-92 / Voyage 200 graphing calculators that is based on Civilization II, along with an accompanying map / scenario / game editor. Compared to Civilization II, it is significantly watered down, but in many ways improved (in my opinion). There is more emphasis on the military aspects of the game. The combat system is different; attacking an enemy unit simply applies a certain amount of damage to that unit rather than destroying either the attacker or defender. Pretty fun, but unfortunately, it has no AI.

Future projects

These are computer programs that I hope to (but very well may not) make.

About my Wikipediaing

I very much appreciate Wikipedia, almost as much as I do Google. It is very useful and informative. I have learned much.

I discovered Wikipedia through Google. Summer 2004, when I decided to look up and learn a bunch of random stuff, Google constantly directed me to Wikipedia articles. I was rarely disappointed. I quickly came to realize that Wikipedia was an excellent starting point for almost any kind of information.

I have done a lot of editing in video gaming. I have also added a lot of redirect pages, perhaps the least fun part of editing and a task that is often overlooked. I am proud of most of my work here.

I performed many edits before assuming my Wikipedia identity. Many of them are under the IP address 18.*.*.*. The 18 means that MIT is my ISP. Officially, I've been a member since December 5, 2004.
