Steve Jürvetson

Steve Jürvetson (born in Arizona, USA) is a Managing Director of Draper Fisher Jurvetson. He was the founding VC investor in Hotmail, Interwoven, and Kana. He also led the firm's investments in Tradex and Cyras (acquired by Ariba and Ciena). Currently Jürvetson helds investments in Skype.

Steve Jürvetson has graduated Stanford University, ph.D. Jürvetson holds a second ph.D (in business management) from Stanford Business School.

Ethnically Estonian, Jürvetson is a son of Estonian refugees, who escaped from Estonia during World War II.
