Andrea Camilleri (Porto Empedocle, 1925) is a Sicilian writer. He lives in Rome where he works as a tv and theatre director. Most of his books deal with the investigations conducted by Salvo Montalbano, a Sicilian detective in the police force of Vigàta, an imaginary Sicilian town.
