C News is a news server package, written by Geoff Collyer with assistance from Henry Spencer as a replacement for B News. C News handles the feeding and storage subsystems of the news software, but not the transport functions, which are handled by external programs. The latest official relase is from 1993, and C News is now mostly obsoleted by INN. It is presumably still used for some small news servers.

C News is communication-protocol neutral, but includes support for UUCP and NNTP.
