Zinc chloride (ZnCl2) is a colorless or white material that is extremely hygroscopic. In its pure form it has a melting point of 317°C. One use is as a Flux for Soldering.

Four crystalline structures have been reported, although in pure form (i.e. water-free) only the delta phase can form.

Zinc chloride can be quenched from the melt to form a glassy material.
