The user Uris revealed.

Uris (born August 11, 1977) is a Wikipedian who first contributed (from an anonymous IP) to the Wikipedia on December 2, 2003. Forming naturally, Uris was raised in Waynesboro, Virginia. The user received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Virginia.

Uris makes a lot of edits. Typically, the user will make dozens of edits to a particular article over a few days. This does not mean that Uris does not welcome the edits of other contributors: remember, be bold with edits! Uris often tries to make all of his edits at once, but then will always notice another little detail in long articles. It's a lost cause: The user will always make a lot of edits on top of previous edits. Uris is not trying to be rude!

It is Uris' belief that Wikipedia is the most brilliant idea ever released on the Internet, by a wide margin over #2 (Friendster). Making information available on every subject to everyone in the world, free of charge, is a truly noble cause. In the event that Kate's Tools come back, or someone else is able to make a functioning account migration tool, some aliases (Omnibus, Switzerland, and Barnstar) will officially disappear and all edits will be merged into Uris. Some IP addresses could also be merged.

To all the Wikipediholics: the Wikipedia may be a grand waste of your time, but it is a less wasteful waste than what you would otherwise find to occupy your time with. It's either this or X-Box, or Ultima Online/World of Warcraft, or Friendster, or by far the worst, some ridiculous Internet message board. Considering the alternatives, this is the only one that performs a kind of service for the world! You can't go back and show your grandkids the great stuff you did on the Nintendo.

Uris was the original author on a small variety of subjects in the Wikipedia including these: Ribbon eel - State income tax - Lower valley of the Omo - Executive Education - Business 2.0 - Kiplinger's Personal Finance - Birmingham-Southern College - Nebraska Wesleyan University - University of Texas of the Permian Basin - David Berman - Linda Kozlowski - P. Buckley Moss - Scott Stadium - Who Is Harry Kellerman... Still stubs --> Steven Wallman - FolioFN

Uris wrote a large portion of the content and layout for the following entries: Space Needle - Rice University - University of Virginia

The articles in bold are not necessarily in-depth or complete articles yet. These are simply my favorite articles, or those which I am particularly proud of my contributions to. There doesn't exist the entry that I wrote and that I feel deserves an article of the day mention, as of yet. But I plan to be around a long time, and to contribute much more to the efforts here!
