Airport Road is a 11.6 km, "super-2" expressway located in London, Ontario, Canada. The highway was previously known as Highway 100 from 1977 until 1994.

In the late 1960's, the highway was conceived by the Ontario government as an freeway bypass that would run along the eastern and northern parts of London. The road would connect to Highway 401 in the south and join up with Highway 402 in the west.

In 1973, the City of London along with the provincial government decided that the proposed road would be contructed as a two-lane highway from Highway 401 north to Oxford Street. The design included a 250-metre wide right-of-way road allowance so additional lanes could be built in the future.

Contructed between 1975 until its opening in 1977, the highway was controversial since it was not built as a completed freeway and had traffic lights instead of interchanges.

During the 1980's and 1990's, new homes and many industries including 3M and Trojan located in the lands adjacent to Airport Road. This created an rapid increase in the volume of traffic on the highway. Because of this, there was growing frustrstion with the frequent traffic jams and the inhability for vehicles to pass.

In 1997, Airport Road was extended further north to Huron Street.

In the early 2001, The Ontario government announced plans to widen Airport Road from Highway 401 north to Oxford Street. The plan included widening the road to a 4-lanes divided highway with room for future interchanges.

Contruction on the road widening began in 2004 and will be completed in November 2005.
