All the Right Reasons is the fifth studio album by the Canadian rock/post grunge band Nickelback, released on October 4, 2005. It is the first album without the original drummer Ryan Vikedal and first to feature his replacement, Daniel Adair. All lyrics were written by Chad Kroeger and all the music is by Nickelback, except for the bonus track "We Will Rock You".
Album information
The album debuted at number one, selling over 325,000 copies in its first week, becoming the band's first album to reach the top of the Billboard 200 chart, as well as the first band on the Roadrunner label to do so. It was ranked at number one in Canada for four weeks following its release. All the Right Reasons was the winner for Favorite Pop/Rock Album on the 34th American Music Awards which was held on November 21 2006.
All the Right Reasons was certified 5x Platinum in the U.S. by the RIAA in December 2006. The album received similar success in Canada and in September 2006 was certified 5x Platinum for selling over 500,000 copies. In Australia the album was certified 4x Platinum for selling over 280,000 copies and in New Zealand it was number one for 2 weeks and now has sold over 50,000 copies which means something more than 3x Platinum.
The album won the group 3 awards at the Billboard Music Awards 2006 – Group of the Year, Rock Album of the Year, and Hot 100 Group of the Year.

Miscellanea
- "Next Contestant" had been performed live several years before the release of this album.
- "Follow You Home" and "Rockstar" feature vocals and guitar from Billy Gibbons.
- "Side of a Bullet" contains lyrics dedicated to Dimebag Darrell and a guitar solo from the Far Beyond Driven era of Dimebag's band, Pantera.
- "We Will Rock You" is a Queen cover and is available exclusively from Wal-Mart (a download voucher was inserted in the packaging for instore sales or the song could be downloaded with complete album download purchase from the Website).
- Wal-Mart also bundled an exclusive DVD, Nickelback - Photo Album, with the album when it was released.
- On the front cover of the album there is a sticker that says "featuring Photograph, Far Away, If Everyone Cared (new single) and Savin Me".
- The car driving down the highway on the cover is a black Ford Thunderbird, presumably a late 1950s or early 1960s model.

- "Photograph" became the sixth song in the U.S. history to surpass the million download mark, Photograph hit the million download mark after 28 weeks, making it the 2nd fastest climb in digital history.
- All the Right Reasons was the first Roadrunner Records release ever that debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
- All the Right Reasons after spending almost a year in charts, in its 44th week the album returned to the top 10 albums of U.S. and remained there for the next 2 weeks. In its 48th week on the chart, Nickelback's "All the Right Reasons" re-entered the top 10 of U.S. with over 60,000 copies. In its 56th week the album returned for one more time in the top 10 albums of U.S., this time at #9 and with over 49,000 copies.
- In its 60th week the album with an 99% increase sold over 100,000 albums. That was the 12th week the album sold over 100,000 copies.
- The album sold over 100,000 copies in a single week for 14 times since its release.
- All the Right Reasons, has in total stayed for 22 weeks in the Top 10 and for 53 weeks in the Top 20 of the U.S. Billboard 200 chart.
- After 64 weeks in the charts All the Right Reasons, never sold less than 30,000 copies in a week and its lowest position on the chart is No. 27.
