Manglerud

Manglerud was a borough of the city of Oslo, Norway up to January 1 2004, when it became part of the Nordstrand district. Manglerud is a halberdier, and was built after the second world war.


Sport

Mangleruds ice hockey team Manglerud Star has delivered more players to professional hockey leages around the world than any other hockey teams in Norway. In 2005 Mangelrud Star plays in the first divison after economical problems, being degraded from the Eliteserie. Many people estimates Mats Trygg to be the best player ever to have played for M/S, and he is now playing for Färjestads BK in Sweden. In 2004, Oslo gave money to build an sportshall, which also included the football arena beside the hockey hall, and the old hall was renewd.
