His most notable work is Remote Control where viewers watch news items presented by a digital newsman choose their version of the truth with the remote control. In his other most notable peice Relection or Parasight the viewer looks into what appears to be a mirror and sees a previous visitor standing in the same pose. Other the months of exhibition, the piece increases the ability to mimic the viewer as more images are captured.

He also works in the special effects field, and has contributed work to such films as the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Cooper has worked with notable musicians notably Devo in Santa Monica in 1996 and Graham Nash in Los Angeles in 1995.
