Cavitaves is a clade that contain the order Trogoniformes (trogons) and the clade Picocoraciae (a large assemblage of birds that includes, but not limited to, woodpeckers, kingfishers and trogons).[1][2][3][4][5][6] The name refers to the fact that they nest in cavities the majority of them.
