Frank Hopkins was a cowboy who made a number of disputed claims, including accounts of an exotic horse race in Arabia.

His story was adapted into a film, Hidalgo, which has received generally positive reviews, though, some have argued most or all of Hopkins' claims as depicted in the film are hoaxes or tall tales.
