1998 Salford City Council election
Elections to Salford Council were held on 7th May, 1998. One third of the councils seats were up for election (one seat for each ward except in Little Hulton ward where 2 seats were contested). The Labour party kept its overall majority and continued to run the council. Overall turnout was 19.39%.
