Conax is a crypting system for digital television.

The Conax system is owned by Conax AS, which is owned by the Norwegian company Telenor and others. Earlier versions of the Conax encryption system had known faults which allowed 'patching' of receivers to allow unpaid access to signals. This has been fixed in newer versions of the system.
