Anatoly Davydov (born November 14th, 1948) is a Russian actor and producer, best known for his roles in Heaven’s Gate (1980), Gorky Park (1983), The Falcon and the Snowman (1985), The Package (1989), The Hunt for Red October (1990), Assassins (1995) and Say It in Russian (2007)

Biography

In 1971, he graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies at Leningrad State University. After graduating, he worked for three years at the Novosti Press Agency. During a trip to Japan, he contacted the American embassy with a request to grant him political asylum in the United States. While living in New York, he consulted Hollywood screenwriters and directors who were making films on "Russian" themes. In several of these films, Anatoly Davydov played small roles - mainly KGB officers or Soviet military personnel. He is currently involved in producing. For five years, he worked with Fox on the animal program Wild Things. He produced several episodes of the reality show The Amazing Race. He made four documentaries about life in America through the eyes of an emigrant from Russia.[1]
