Date Everything! is a sandbox dating simulator developed by Sassy Chap Games and published by Team17. It was released on June 17, 2025, for Windows and consoles.[1]
In the game, players wear “Dateviator” glasses to bring inanimate objects to life as fully voiced characters, enabling romantic or emotional interaction with everything from a rubber duck to a bookshelf. These glasses allow players to “Directly Acknowledge a Thing’s Existence” — or D.A.T.E. — by forming connections with overlooked everyday items.[2][3] Players can develop one of three relationship outcomes with each character—love, friendship, or hate—depending on dialogue choices and interactions.[4]
Gameplay
[edit]Players explore a household setting where objects—such as an oven, toaster, or vacuum cleaner—come to life as characters with distinct personalities. Gameplay consists of dialogue choices, relationship progression, and stat-building. Players can interact with five characters per in-game day and unlock unique endings for each.
Development
[edit]The game was developed by Sassy Chap Games, a studio formed by voice actors Robbie Daymond, Ray Chase, and Max Mittelman. Ray Chase, who previously worked as a voice actor in major games, served as the game’s lead designer and creative director.[5][6] The game features over 1.2 million words, 70,000 voiced lines, and more than 11,000 hand-drawn assets.[7]
