Biography
[edit]Annie-Musu Abigail Cole (born 18 December 2000), Birthplace in Ghana, raised in the United States. Abbyyy’s roots trace back to Liberian parents of Sierra Leonean descent. This diverse West African heritage plays a significant role in her identity, both personally and artistically. Her multicultural upbringing exposed her to a rich blend of languages, traditions, and musical styles that shaped her worldview and laid the foundation for her sound today. [2] Growing up, music was not just a pastime but a deep passion and calling. Annie-Musu aka Abbyyy began playing the piano at the tender age of 5, displaying a natural gift for melody and harmony. Her connection to music only deepened when she joined her church choir at age 8, where she began singing regularly and learning the art of vocal expression. It was within the walls of the church that her voice found its first platform—one that allowed her to explore soul, gospel, and African rhythms while building confidence as a performer.
By the time she was 15, Annie-Musu transitioned from performer to recording artist. She began laying her own vocals over beats, crafting lyrics that reflected her personal journey, emotions, and dreams. These early recordings marked a significant turning point, not only in honing her craft but also in finding her sound—a unique fusion of Afro pop rhythm, pop energy, and R&B soul.
Her academic journey led her to the United States, where she graduated from West Fargo High School. She later enrolled at North Dakota State University (NDSU), choosing to pursue a social career alongside her artistic dreams. This duality—studying social sciences while actively pursuing music—highlights her multidimensional personality. She is not only an artist but also a thinker, deeply connected to the human experience and passionate about making a difference through her voice, both musically and socially.

With smooth vocals, heartfelt lyrics, and genre-blending production, Dear Cupid introduced her to a wider audience, allowing fans to connect with her vulnerability, strength, and melodic prowess.
After the debut of Dear Cupid, Annie-Musu had been manage by Natlyn's Entertainment LLC with her new release “Darling” and “No Vex,” two powerful singles that further cemented her place as a voice to watch. “Darling” brought a softer, more emotional tone, filled with intimacy and longing, while “No Vex” revealed a more assertive, confident side of her artistry—speaking to resilience, self-worth, and inner power. Together, these works showcase her versatility and growth.
Annie-Musu’s sound is heavily influenced by her African roots, yet it’s also been shaped by her experiences in the West. Her ability to bridge cultures through sound makes her music universally appealing. From Afrobeats-inspired grooves to emotionally layered R&B vocals and infectious pop melodies, she creates music that resonates with audiences across borders.
